Benjamin Friedland - K2BF

Benjamin Friedland died Monday, August 3, 1998 in Mendham.  He was 55.  Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood, Millburn, and South Orange before moving to Mendham 11 years ago.  Mr. Friedland was the president and general manager of Morristown & Erie Railway Inc. for 20 years.  He was a member of Morris County Emergency Management, the American Short Line Railroad Association, a board member of the International Telecommunications Association, and the president of the North Jersey DX Association.  His father, Julius, died previously.  Survivors include his wife, Janice; a son, Steven; a daughter, Beth his mother, Sylvia; a sister, Elizabeth; and three grandchildren.  Arrangements were made by Bernheim, Apter, Goldsticker Suburban Funeral chapel, 1600 Springfield Ave., Maplewood.
